As this year comes to an end and the new year knocks on our door, it’s the perfect time to pause, reflect, and cherish all the incredible things the past 12 months have brought us.
This is HackSoft’s Year in Review: 2024 edition.✨ What a year it has been! From team growth and community contributions to partnerships and milestones, 2024 was truly a wild ride. Let’s dive in and celebrate all that we’ve achieved together!
Our Growing Team: Stronger Than Ever 🚀
Behind every successful company is a motivated team. At HackSoft, 2024 was another year of team growth!
We are now over 40 people, with this year’s additions including Software Engineers, QA Engineers, and even our very first Business Developer. Each new team member brings unique skills, fresh perspectives, and energy to the table. We couldn’t be prouder to have all of them on board! 🧡
This year was also filled with unforgettable team moments - our incredible August team building, participating in our first Legion Run, fun competitions, and even global travels. 🌎 Here’s to more adventures and milestones in 2025! 🙌

Conferences & Talks
Sharing knowledge is at the core of who we are. This year, our CEO, Radoslav Georgiev, delivered three powerful talks at prestigious events:
- EuroPython 2024: “Rapid Prototyping & Proof of Concepts: Django is All We Need”. This marked Rado's 5th time as a speaker at EuroPython. 🙌
- DEV:Challenge Accepted 2024: A workshop on “Practical Usage of ChatGPT in Software Development” and the talk “Rapid Prototyping & Staying in the Backend Lane”.
- Online Seminar at SoftUni: “Django REST Framework - Overview of Internals and Implementation”
Our CTO, Ivaylo Bachvarov, also joined Rado in leading hands-on workshops organized by HackBulgaria, further showcasing our commitment to education and collaboration.
Additionally, we attended numerous conferences, networking events and meetups, talking with fellow developers, exchanging ideas and knowledge.
Judging Competitions & Hackathons
2024 gave us the chance to mentor and judge future innovators.💻
At the Ludogorie Hack 2024, Daniel Goshev (Tech Team Lead) and Kamen Kotsev (VP of Engineering) acted as mentor and jury member, respectively.
On the other hand, Krasimira Angelova (Tech Team Lead) also had the honor of judging the Site of the Year (Сайт на годината) competition.

Django Styleguide: 5,000 Stars! 🌟
Our Django Styleguide, a useful document of best practices in Django development, hit a major milestone this year - it passed over 5,000 stars on GitHub! 🎉
Developers around the world continue to find it valuable, and we’re humbled by its success. We’ll keep improving it, one update at a time.
Giving Back to the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics🧡
FMI (Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics at Sofia University) holds a special place in our hearts. That’s where HackSoft was initially born.
In 2024, we were able to strengthen our connection with several initiatives:
- FMI{Codes} Hackathon: Our team mentored participants and served as judges, fostering innovation and teamwork. 💻
- Hall 100 Transformation: We proudly renovated this beloved student space, creating a better environment for learning and collaboration. 🤗
- FMI All-Stars: Our VP of Engineering, Kamen Kotsev, delivered a talk on “Git - Practical Usage.” 💡
- Welcoming New Students: Our CEO, Radoslav Georgiev, welcomed incoming students with their student books and warm HackSoft gifts.
Supporting FMI is not just a responsibility - it’s a privilege, and we are happy to have the opportunity to do so. 💻🎓
Building Stronger Partnerships 🤝
At HackSoft, we aim to be the developer partner that goes beyond code. We cherish the partnerships and connections we are able to achieve with all of our clients. This is what keeps us going!
In October, we had the pleasure of hosting the HackSoft Partnership Summit for the second year in a row - a special event curated for our valued partners and clients. The summit celebrates long-lasting partnerships and creates new opportunities for collaboration and innovation.
Saturday's Gala Dinner was the highlight, where we gathered with our esteemed partners from around the globe for an evening filled with surprises, great conversations, and unforgettable moments. 🤗
2024 also saw the release of three brand-new case studies, and we even had the opportunity to visit one of our clients in Atlanta, Georgia. These moments remind us why we do what we do - and why our partnerships matter so much.
HackCast: Wrapping Up Season 4 🎙️
We wrapped up Season 4 of HackCast this year, our most valuable season yet! From incredible guests to insightful discussions, it’s been a journey we’re incredibly proud of.
